This means that you need to ensure that not only your message is delivered consistently and clearly across all platforms, but that your image is presented consistently as well. This is a vital component of brand identity, but it is also one that many brands who trying to build a following, or repackage their current identity, fall short with.

Perhaps one of the most important ways that one can ensure that their branding is consistent across all platforms is through photography consistency. Making sure that all of your photographic elements on your exposure media is essential to making sure that you are presenting a clear and consistent tone that can not only be easily associated with your message, but which can support that message in a relevant manner. Photographic elements that have a consistent look and feel can give your overall message a more unified appearance and respectability.

The truth is that we are a very visual society. When we see things we not only take them at their face value, but we also interpret them in terms of emotional content, subtext, context, personal relevance, and more. Choosing the right images to convey important parts of your message in vital, but perhaps more so vital is the selection of image elements that not only complement the message, and each other, but also have a uniform and consistent appearance and feel. To sum this up, it’s not just what the images are saying that is important, but the tone they are saying it with, and how consistent that tone is conveyed.

This is not to say that every image that is included in your brand building materials has to be a clone of every other one, but they should have the same conformity of basal elements. Use the same models, use the same backdrops or settings, have the same filters or lighting style. All of your photographic elements would feel as if they were created just for you and by the same photographic professionals. This conformity is key to building a brand association of stable, trustworthy, and professional that you will want to have associated with you.

Building your brand is important to the success of your business. In today days highly connected world, it is to be expected that your potential clients, customers, or followers will be exposed to your marketing in numerous locations across all platforms online and real world on a regular basis. Sending a clear and consistent message via the issue of uniform photographic and other image elements can ensure they can easily recognize your message and better absorb it. If you are looking to get the most out of your brand exposure efforts, make sure that not only is your message consistent but the your image elements are as well. In a visual society, nothing can be more important.
